THE LOGO PROCESS
What To Expect
1. Onboarding
Start by getting in touch and figuring out what we want to create together. We’ll discuss goals, rates, and timeline. If we both feel the magic, we’ll start by scheduling our Initiation Meeting.
2. Initiation Meeting
This will be where I’ll need most of your help. We’ll spend an hour or two examining your brand story, your mission, and your values, as well as logistics like your brand’s touchpoints (all places where people view and interact with your brand). We’ll also look at some of your favorite brands and logos together to figure out what resonates intuitively for you.
3. Concept & Direction
I’ll spend the next few days sketching and finding inspiration to narrow down on 2-3 ideas that capture the most compelling layers of intentions. We’ll review together and zero in on one idea to move forward with. If we can’t narrow down, we’ll get clear on what values need to be more clear, and we’ll cycle here until we can move forward.
4. Expansion
This is one of the most exciting parts. I’ll begin converting the rough sketch ideas into more true-to-final graphic renderings. We’ll review the variations and their advantages and disadvantages to weigh what your priorities are. Once we determine a final variation, we’ll move to polishing.
5. Color & Polishing
This is where I’ll get to unleash my perfectionism. The logo will be torture-tested in different contexts (light, dark, small, huge ... etc.) to make sure it retains its intended feelings across all your brand touchpoints. We’ll also start seeing how it appears in color.
6. Delivery
We’ll sync up on a final review of all assets and file formats you need, in case anything changed along our journey. Once I recieve your final payment, I’ll make all files (including original vector files) available as a download for you and your team to collect.
